ABSTRACT:
Semi-partitioning is a relatively novel (and promising) multiprocessor scheduling paradigm, which aims to combine the best aspects of partitioned and global scheduling (namely, efficient dispatching and potential for efficient processor utilisation).
This talk aims to present three of the most "established" semi-partitioned schemes (EKG-sporadic, NPS-F and EDF-WM) and discuss ongoing efforts to improve on their performance and practicality.

SPEAKERS BIO:
Konstantinos Bletsas (born 1978) has a Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering (Technical University of Crete, 2002) and a PhD in Computer Science (York, 2007).
He has been with the CISTER Research Unit since 2007, and his main research focus is multiprocessor scheduling. He has also served in the Greek Army (2010).
