I.S.I - Industrial Systems Institute

The goal of ISI is to carry out research and development addressed mainly to the information technology and production automation needs of the industry. In this proposal ISI will contribute in all WPs, focused on key proposal actions, like radio channel investigation / development / assessment, specification & development of lower-layer and end-to-end communication protocols, and development of specific industrial application services. ISI has the required high-level expertise and infrastructure to support these activities and undertake the role of project leader in WP2 (Lower-Layer Communications). Furthermore, ISI will participate in the activities of the local pilot testing and field trials for the Greek end-user (LPC). It is mentioned that ISI, through its established industrial connections will proceed to co-operations with additional selected guest end-users, for the global evaluation of the industrial needs, regarding the wireless networking aspect. Finally ISI will contribute to the overall system evaluation, exploitation and dissemination activities.

ISI is responsible for workpackage WP2 - Lower Layer Communication.
